Application Guidelines:

• Surface Prep: Ensure logs are thoroughly clean before application. Use media blasting, power washing, or sanding to remove dirt and mildew. For mildew treatment, apply Sashco CPR™ Log Cleaner or a mild bleach solution.
• Optimal Coverage: Apply two coats of Capture®, allowing 4–12 hours of drying time between coats. Capture® can be sprayed or brushed; back brushing is recommended for even coverage, especially in edges and corners.
• Interior Compatibility: Capture® is also perfect for interior logs when paired with Symphony® Interior Clear Coat , creating a luxurious, colored finish with at least two coats of Symphony® and light sanding between each for a refined look.

Capture® Log Stain by Sashco® is specially designed to protect and enhance the beauty of log and timber homes. Its unique elastic formula moves with your logs, expanding and contracting without cracking or peeling, ensuring long-lasting protection that stands up to the elements.

Available in eleven natural colors, Capture® enhances the natural grain of your logs with a semi-transparent finish that celebrates the wood’s inherent beauty. For complete protection, apply a topcoat of Cascade® Clear Coat, which pairs seamlessly with Capture® to provide superior water resistance and UV protection. When the Cascade® layer begins to lose its sheen, simply clean the logs and reapply to keep your home protected.

If UV exposure causes fading in specific areas, or if checks (natural cracks along the wood grain) appear, Capture® can be applied as a refresher coat. Simply brush Capture® into the affected areas, feathering it into the surrounding wood, and follow up with Cascade® for added durability.
